The Libertarian Party of Washington State

LPWA Convention 2008

On April 19, 1775, our ancestors fired the shot heard 'round the world.

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Echoing the spirit of our forefathers struggle for Liberty we will be heard 'round the sound and around the state. Join us!

The Libertarian Party of Washington meets annually to consider changes to the Party platform and bylaws, and to elect leadership for the upcoming year. We also nominate candidates that wish to run in Washington State with an (L) next to their name (email chair@lpwa.org for candidate submission requirements).

This year, we'll also select our Delegates to the Libertarian National Convention in Denver this Memorial Day weekend (May 22-26) to choose our Presidential candidate. LPWA will host a panel discussion with several of the 2008 Libertarian Presidential hopefuls (All candidates are invited).

We also welcome guest speaker, Dr. James Peet, from LEAP.

When: Saturday, April 19th, 2008
