County Chair says . . . Help! by Janice Moerschel The Spokane County Libertarian Party needs your support! We have really accomplished quite a bit in this past year but need your help to continue doing the work that needs to be done. Last fall, we hosted Harry Browne's visit to Spokane for the CityVote debate. Last spring, we held the Washington State LP Convention-which was hailed as a great success. Between times, we collected signatures to put Harry Browne on the Washington ballot, collected signatures to get him included in the debates, spent Days at the Park (Riverfront Park) giving out information, and attended our second gun show where we distributed flyers on gun rights, the Libertarian Party, Harry Browne, and Richard Shepard, candidate for State Attorney General. All in all, about 800 Harry Browne flyers were distributed. We also purchased Harry Browne signs and posted those, along with Richard Shepard signs, around Spokane. We cancelled the November general meeting due to a low cash flow and normally take a holiday break in December anyway. But we'd like to start the New Year off right and hope you can help us continue the valuable work we want to do. If you are able to make a financial contribution, please send your check to the: Spokane County Libertarian Party, Box 1776, Spokane, WA 99210. If you are unable to contribute money, we would ask that you volunteer to attend Days at the Park, gun shows and the like, distribute newsletters around town, or assist in any other way you may choose. It would be great if we could find interested college students to establish Libertarian groups or set up information booths at local campuses (we may be able to provide a speaker to the school of your choice-ask us!). We still have vacant a county representative position which entails occasional travel to central Washington or the Seattle area and elections for SCLP officers is coming up in March. If you'd like to volunteer your services in any capacity, please write to me at our local address (noted above). The SCLP will be all that you help to make it! Another way you can help-and buy something useful at the same time-would be to purchase ''Entertainment Guides'' for yourself, family and friends-they make great gifts! So, if you'd like to get in on all the hot deals in the Inland Empire, contact Bill Brockus at: 747-4289. Proceeds will benefit the SCLP. Thank you! Janice Moerschel is Chair of the Spokane County LP
