The 1997 state convention will be held at the University of Puget Sound, Room MAC103, on June 21, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you have proposals, or even just concerns, to talk about at this year's convention in Tacoma, send them in quickly so they can be included in the June issue. A lot more can be accomplished if everybody has advance notice and time and specfic text to read. Please include a telephone number or address---or both!---if you can. Since the Platform Committee chairman is Tom Stahl, send him copies of Platform ideas, too, so he can include them in his report.

The Constitution/Bylaws Committee has not been organized, so contact Party Chairman Jim Campton regarding Constitution or Bylaws or Resolution proposals.

Also, consider the follow-up that might be needed after the convention: is a new committee going to be needed? Is an extra commitment to be expected of an officer?
